Derive more than 1% of turnover from production, wholesale or sale of alcoholic drinks.
Gambling
Derive any turnover from gambling.
Health and safety
Have been convicted, in the last three years, following a prosecution by the Health and Safety Executive.
Human rights abuses
Registered in one or more countries with oppressive regimes.
Military - nature of involvement
Have been involved in the sale or production of weapons systems.
Military - scale of contracts
Had contracts with the Ministry of Defence worth more than £5m in any of the last three years.
Pornography and adult films
Publish, print or wholesale magazines that CPC says contain pornographic material or newspapers that have a photograph of a topless woman or provide advertising for adult entertainment services.
Third World concerns
Are involved in the extraction or growing of commodities in the third world or have infringed the code of pharmaceutical marketing practice in the third world in the last six years.
Tobacco
Derive any of their reported annual turnover from the production or sale of tobacco or tobacco products.

Animal testing
Manufacture or develop products or ingredients that have been tested on animals or provide such testing services for others.
Genetic engineering and biotechnology
Carry out genetic engineering or manufacture food products containing ingredients from soya and maize, which have poor GMO avoidance or labelling policy.
High environmental impact
Operates in a high impact area (i.e. air transport, forestry and paper, vehicle manufacture) but has not demonstrated an improvement in environmental performance.
Intensive farming and meat sales
Derive any turnover from poultry farming, or pig farming unless intensive methods are not used. Derive no more than £1000 million or 33% of their annual turnover from the sale of meat.
Nuclear power
Own or operate nuclear power stations or supply products or services for the nuclear part of power plants.
Pesticides
Have received approval from MAFF or HSE to market pesticide products in the UK, which include active ingredients that are banned or restricted in five or more countries.
Pollution convictions
Have been convicted in the last 3 years following a prosecution by her majesty's Inspectorate of Pollution in England and Wales or Her Majesty's Industrial Pollution inspectorate in Scotland.
Tropical hardwoods
Import, process or merchant timber, unless tropical hardwood-free or only uses tropical hardwood from sustainable sources.
Water pollution
Have exceeded at least one parameter on a discharge consent in the last three years.
